Technical Staff
Tony has over 25 years experience in the construction industry working throughout the UK in a number of organisations at various levels; lead designer, team leader, project and contract management in both office and site based environments. He has worked on construction projects in a design, inspection and assessment capacity with project sizes ranging from small domestic extensions through to industrial facilities and manufacturing plants. Structures including, reservoirs, culverts, spillways, bridges, underground tanks and chambers and food / product manufacturing facilities. These have involved the assessment and design of structures constructed in steel, concrete, masonry and timber.
He has prepared feasibility studies for and developed schemes for modification and refurbishment of numerous structures as required by a variety of Clients.
He has carried out inspection, assessment and design of underground chambers for various utility companies and design of temporary works schemes for contractors carrying out construction both above and below ground level.
Other works include the design of high capacity lifting equipment, works on leisure facilities including the design of reinforced concrete water retaining structures and feature timber structures.
Rick has 12 years’ experience as a Civil & Structural Engineer and has undertaken a wide range of projects over the last decade. He has a first class honours degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Structural Design. He is proficient in design, detailing and the use of structural design software, RC detailing and specialises in the remodelling of domestic properties with extensive knowledge of planning policy for residential developments. Rick is currently working towards achieving chartered status as a Structural Engineer.
